The 6th Governing Council of the National Institute for Nigerian Languages, Aba, has appointed Prof. Ogbonna Onuoha as the 5th Executive Director of the Institute.

Prof. Onuoha, the serving Deputy Vice – Chancellor (Administration)of the Abia State University, Uturu, emerged the best after a selection process/ keen interview organised by the Governing Council under the chairmanship of Prof. Victor Ukaogo.

Prof. Onuoha holds a B. A. ( Linguistics and Igbo); M.A. ( Linguistics and Igbo), and Ph. D(Multilinguistics) – all from the University of Nigeria. He rose to the rank of Reader or Associate Professor in 2014, and became a full Professor in 2017.

The 5th Executive Director is an accomplished internationally reputed academic, researcher, resource person, consultant and teachers’ teacher .
