IWUCHUKWU KELE AUGUSTINA (Mrs) - REGISTRAR NINLAN

Born on February 22, 1960 in Imo state, Nigeria, she holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calabar in 1990 as well as NCE from Alvan Ikoku College of Education Owerri in 1984

After observing the compulsory National Youth Service Corps at Holy Ghost Juniorate, Ihiala, Anambra State, she worked as a teacher under Imo State and Abia State Education Management from 1990-1994

She joined the services of the National Institute for Nigerian Languages, Aba as Administrative Officer I in February 1994. In January 1997, she became an Assistant Registrar, a Senior Assistant Registrar in January 2000 and a Principal Assistant Registrar in January 2003. As a Principal Assistant Registrar she was in charge of the Academic Registry which has two units: Admission and Exams & Records Units.

In October, 2012 she was promoted to the rank of Deputy Registrar and on December 10, 2014, she was posted to head the Central Registry/Establishment and was appointed the Acting Registrar of NINLAN.

In this position, she oversaw the stabilization of the Registry and NINLAN, following the withdrawal of University of Nigeria Nsukka and restoration of the autonomy of the Institute. She served as the Head of the Registry until her appointment as Registrar in August 2016.

In her 22 years working experience at the Institute, she was conversant with academic staff matters and personnel issues and worked with three Executive Directors.

She meaningfully contributed in the formulation and execution of rules and regulations; handled staff appointments, staff welfare and general administration matters satisfactorily.

Despite her heavy administrative schedule, she served the Institute on different committees: Task Force on Capital Projects, Committee on Review of the Institute's scheme and Conditions of Service, Committee on Implementation of the Programme for non-language Graduates to become Teachers of Nigerian Languages, among others.

Her hobbies are reading, philantrophic activities and listening to Christian music
