Angus O. Unegbu PhD. - Bursar


Angus O. Unegbu is a professionally Certified Chartered Accountant (ACA), trained teacher in accounting, and he is also academically qualified (PhD). He taught Accounting and Finance courses at American University of Nigeria Yola for 6 years and at University of Kurdistan Hewler for 2 years in addition to 10 years of Part-Time Teaching.

Industrially, has worked for over 22 years variously as Bursar (Vice President Finance), Deputy Bursar (Assistant Vice President Finance), Chief Accountant, Accountant and Internal Auditor in three Tertiary Institutions.

He obtained PhD Accountancy and B.Sc. Accountancy from University of Maiduguri, Maiduguri Borno State in 2014 and 1991 respectively. He obtained Masters in Banking and Finance from Imo State University Owerri in 2001 and was certified Professionally Qualified Accountant (ACA) in 2001 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

He obtained a teaching certificate (NCE) in Accountancy & Commerce from Alvan Ikoku College of Education in affiliation with University of Nigeria in 1984.
He has published/co-authored widely in the areas of Accounting and Finance, some of which includes; five (5) Accounting books, nineteen (19) International peer reviewed journal research publications and four (4) International published conference proceedings.

His current research interests are in the areas of Corporate Insolvency and Re-engineering, Accounting for Intellectual Capital and Capital flights.

Currently he is the Bursar (Vice President Finance) and Member of National Institute for Nigerian Languages Aba internal (Principal Officers) Management.
